My sister tagged me to do this meme.
- Grab the nearest book.
- Turn to page 123.
- Find the fifth sentence.
- Post the text of the next three sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
- Don’t you dare dig for that “cool” or intellectual book in your closet! Just pick up whatever is closest!
- Tag three people.
Okay, so here goes. The book closest to me is Business Statistics by Ken Black. I am in our spare room (which we use for a study room) and I’m preparing my lessons (while blogging at the same time… multi-tasking!).
Three methods of assigning probabilities are 1) the classical method, 2) the relative frequency of ccurrence method, and 3) subjective probabilities. The classical method can assign probabilities a priori, or before the experiment takes place. It relies on the laws and rules of probability.
I haven’t had time to read any novels lately. The last book I read was Memoirs of a Geisha (which I thoroughly enjoyed) and that was about a month ago.
Anyway, I’m tagging Toni, Bugsy, and Bridget.
What have you been reading lately? 🙂

Hi Tin! I read your blog once in awhile. I also tried what you did. Its quite fun. I picked up the nearest book from where im sitting now. Its from The Purpose Driven-Life. Dugay na ni sa akon, wala ko pa gyapon natapos. hehe. DAmo abi distractions. Ari:
Because God is love, the most important lesson he wants you to learn on earth is how to love. It is in loving that we are most like him, so love is the foundation of every command he has given us. Learning to love unselfishly is not an easy task.
Regards to Tito and Tita! God-willing, ill see you next year. Take care!

I think I’ve done this tag before, so I’ll do it here nalang in your comments section!
“Simple words have profound meanings.
Wisdom is to the soul what health is to the body.
Learn to accept events with intelligence.”
That’s from the book “8,789 Words of Wisdom” by Barbara Ann Kipfer. 🙂

I actually have two books by my bedside – one accounting and one non-accounting(for when reading accounting gets tedious). I grabbed the non- because I don’t like Karol to say I have a boring life. 😉
I don’t want to tag anybody (nahuya ko) so pwede here na lang? Here goes: The non-accounting book is “My Life As Emperor” by Su Tong. The 5th sentence on page 123 is:
Viewing the peonies was a major event in palace
life, a once yearly procession out to the garden
by all the palace ladies, led by Madame Huangfu.
The book is a narration by the ex-sovereign himself. It is a “mesmerizing tale of cruelty and decadence, of concubines and eunuchs, of lethal imperial rivalries and intrigue … a fascinating glimpse into the soul of China but a timeless story of power and corruption that will be read by generations to come.” Surely, this can’t be boring. 🙂
